transformation

She found herself dark, surrounded by cold rock. A cave. A slight light appeared on the floor, she walked toward it and found a pile of bones. Immediately she knew they were hers. She had been eaten up and disintegrated in the belly of the python, but it had left the bones. Shiny white. The final remnants of a physical being.

Diana, goddess of the night, appeared by her side and the woman turned to embrace her. The woman tells the goddess that she is afraid to move on. Where she is is comfortable and has become a safe haven. The goddess whispers gently, "Grow. There is so much work to be done. Time for you to step into it." The woman picks up her skull, a flutter nearby makes her raise her eyes. Red-tailed hawk has come to to lend support of a higher vision. She looks into the face of the skull, traces the features lovingly with her finger. All that she was, was simply nothing compared to what she is now. Shuffling sounds surround her, she looks up again, into faces of animals and people, those that love her.

"Remember their gifts, " Diana says. The skull is in the woman's hands, she pushes them together with force. Poof, the skull becomes sparkling dust. She feels release. She picks up a rib, again, poof. Going back to the pile for another and another until there is nothing but star dust around her feet. Light pours out from her, radiating far out into the Universe.

Mountain lion and Black panther approach her on either side, light and shadow. She sits, as if a queen, cloaked in crow feathers and spiderwebs. A staff from Willow and a scroll given by Bald eagle are in each of her hands. Red-tailed hawk loosens a feather that floats to the top of her head and becomes a headdress. A White-tailed deer buck comes forward from the circle, he is glowing white and says, "Now, the new adventure begins."

This world fades and the woman finds herself deep in the earth feeling the pulse of life. Above her, gossamer threads of spiderwebs allow faint trails of sunlight to cascade on her face. She is naked, gleaming in her new skin. Feeling the pull upward, she climbs and rips at the spiderwebs. Stepping into the spring green clearing of moss and trees, she shakes with joy. The sunlight drips on her creating a dress of golden white. With fresh eyes she catches a glimpse of Siberian tiger as she twirls around the glade. She runs to him and buries her face in his fur.

Softly he speaks, "Remember. It has all been about being love. It always has been and always will be. The work and the intentions began so long ago. You are open to possibility. It is who you are. Love all. All is sacred. You will love unconditionally, with no expectations. You will transform the world with love - one being at a time."

The two great cats, light and shadow, lead her deep into the forest to a lichen-covered rock. She steps upon it, feeling the roughness and the grounding of the immense stone. She gazes upon the trees and forest dwellers, animals and people, winged, furred, and hoofed, skybound, earthbound and waterbound - all. She is enfolded by the light and love emanating from these beings, connected to the love from her. She shouts out, "All is sacred!" and cheers ring out. She thanks them for their gifts, their support, their love to allow her continued work into openness. Here she is Queen, honoring every being, every moment. She is transformed.

"Now is the time to unite the soul and the world. Now is the time to see the sunlight dancing as one with the shadows."
