While talking with a friend about a week or so ago, she said something that I thought was profound. We were discussing change and how it seems that people we keep meeting have this change
happening or wanting change to happen. What she said was that not only is this the age of information, but it is really more the age of transformation. I have sensed this change, this need for transformation for the past two years.
Mushrooms have been popping up all over in my life since August (birthday month). Mushrooms,
to me, symbolize transformation and going deep within. Mycelia, strands or fungi roots, spread out under the earth and through leaf litter, rotten logs and other decomposing matter. Then, when the rains come, up pop the fruiting bodies to spread their spores and start new life. These beings are decomposers, but where death ends, rebirth begins.
Going deep within, spreading my mycelium and awaiting for the rains to renew, recharge and revitalize my spirit and energy.
