The cool, new green days of spring are turning into the lazy, hazy days of summer. all the trees have leaved out and have created a dark forest floor. birds are busy sitting on nests and feeding young. lots of vireos singing, indigo buntings and tree swallows. the fox kits are testing hunting skills. they are still curious, but learning to stay further away from humans. the turtles are on the move. just this year i have assisted three painted turtles, two snapping turtles, two box turtles and a mud turtle. good times.
